The new word on the street is alliteration. It originates from Latin. Alliteration means the occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words. An example of an alliteration would be, "Fire fumed with great fury."
Exposures time is here! Carry on the artistic tradition and try to add your name to the list of published Lakers by submitting your art and writing. Please see Mrs. Nadlicki for art info and Mrs. Okerlund for writing. The deadline is February 6th. Submissions of writing should be given to Mrs. Okerlund in room 207. Submissions that are not selected for Exposures will aotumatically be considered for Splash.

There are basketballs left on the floor in the middle school gymnasium daily before school starts. Please put any equipment away that you use.
Congratulations for earning a spot in the Glen Lake District Spelling Bee: Charlie Beck, Rolli Charpentier, Kelsey Sheffer, MacKenzie Steele, Christian Barber, Kaitlyn Schaub, and last but not least Clara Kroll. The alternate for the spelling bee is Emma Spencer-Karagas. The Glen Lake District Spelling Bee will be held in the auditeria on Thursday, January 22nd, from 8:30-10:00 A.M. Teachers please send spellers to the auditeria as soon as attendance is taken. Students will return to their normal classes as soon as the bee ends.
