Barber won the home room competitions! Barber in 1st with 17 points, a tie for 2nd between Hobbins and Nadlicki with 14 points, Okerlund in 3rd with 13 points, Vann in 4th with 12 points, Ruelas in 5th with 11 points, Gipson in 6th with 10 points, and Barrett in last with 8 points.
Middle school girls are invited to an enchanted evening at the Glen Lake School's annual daddy daughter dance. All dads or significant others are invited to bring their daughter(s) for a fun filled evening of dancing with their sweethearts! Music and light refreshments will be provided. Keepsake photographs will be taken at the dance for an additional fee. The dance will be in the Glen lake schools auditeria on Saturday February 7th from 6-9 P.M. Daddy and daughter will cost a total of $15.00 total. Dads with more than one daughter will cost $20.00 total. Please make checks payable to Glen Lake PTO. To purchase tickets fill out a form from the high school office and return with payments no later than January 23rd. Exposures time is here! Carry on the artistic tradition and try to add your name to the list of published Lakers by submitting your art and writing. Please see Mrs. Nadlicki for art info and Mrs. Okerlund for writing. The deadline is February 6th. Submissions of writing should be given to Mrs. Okerlund in room 207. Submissions that are not selected for Exposures will automatically be considered for Splash.
The fun fact of the day is: The wedding ring goes on the left ring finger because it is the only finger that has a vein that connects to the heart.
