The Word on the Street is altruistic. It is an adjective that describes a noun. The meaning of altruistic is is selfless or generous; in other words, putting others' before oneself. An example sentence is: Helping someone during a difficult situation is an altruistic act of kindness. Remember, folks, you can also use any word from the same word family; in this case, altruism is a noun.
NWEA starts today and goes through Wednesday, with exercise led by our own Mr. R. At 8:30, students will go to their first period class for testing. They will remain there until 9:45 at which time they will go to Homerooms to work on your commercial. Remember to get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast!

The boys soccer team is in Buckley on Wednesday starting at 5.
The MS volleyball team is at Benzie Central on Wednesday starting at 4:30.
